Innovation Development

R&D and innovation are crucial at Pressler.

Pressler provides excellent products that effectively meet the balanced requirements of lightweighting, cost, quality, and safety through innovative technologies and processes.

When designing and manufacturing products, Pressler collaborates closely with automotive manufacturers from early development stages to final production. This cooperative relationship not only enables us to meet their expectations for current products but also facilitates the joint development of future body-related concepts and technologies.

Materials and Process Innovation

Pressler has achieved significant breakthroughs in both materials and processes through collaborative innovation in materials science and manufacturing processes in automotive hot forming parts processing

Vacuum Hot Forming Electro-galvanized Parts

Pressler has developed vacuum hot forming electro-galvanized parts using conventional uncoated 22MnB5 bare steel as raw material. After vacuum hot forming and electro-galvanizing processes, this material offers superior corrosion resistance compared to traditional aluminum-silicon coating and indirect galvanizing materials, effectively extending the service life of parts. Moreover, the use of bare steel breaks through aluminum-silicon coating patent restrictions, giving companies more freedom in raw material selection.

Manufacturing Equipment Innovation

Pressler has many innovations in automotive hot forming parts processing equipment. The following are the main equipment and their innovation points

Vacuum Multi-layer Roller Hearth Heating Furnace Hot Pressing Line

Pressler independently developed, designed, and manufactured the world's first vacuum hot pressing production line. Its core advantage is creating a vacuum environment during the metal sheet heating process, which can maximize the prevention of oxidation during metal sheet heating, significantly reduce the risk of hydrogen embrittlement and delayed cracking, and eliminate subsequent shot blasting treatment, thereby improving production efficiency and part quality. This production line has been successfully applied in the manufacturing of electro-galvanized hot forming parts for international first-tier automotive brands.

Multi-layer Roller Hearth Atmosphere Protection Heating Furnace Hot Pressing Line

Addressing the pain points of traditional heating furnaces such as large footprint and poor scalability, Pressler integrates the advantages of box-type and roller hearth heating furnaces, adopting a multi-layer stacking design to develop this heating furnace. It can achieve a larger heating area within the same ground space, significantly saving plant space and is suitable for production environments with limited land resources. For example, when producing double door ring hot forming products, traditional long roller hearth furnaces require a single furnace body length of about 50 meters, while Pressler's multi-layer roller hearth furnace body length is only about 7.5 meters, with the entire line length controlled within 30 meters, nearly half shorter than traditional long roller hearth furnace production lines. At the same time, its compact furnace body design reduces the ratio of furnace wall heat dissipation area to effective heating area, reduces ineffective heat loss, and improves thermal energy utilization efficiency.

3D Five-Axis Laser Cutting Machine

This is Pressler's independently developed rapid cutting equipment specifically for automotive hot forming parts, featuring fast cutting, high quality, safety and stability, suitable for 24-hour batch production. Its five-axis linkage and adaptive zoom technology achieve ultra-high cutting accuracy of ±0.03mm, and the n×360° unlimited rotating cutting head can complete complex surface forming in one go, not only significantly improving processing efficiency, but also significantly reducing error accumulation caused by multi-process handling, providing precision processing guarantee for body structural parts.

Pressler has achieved comprehensive breakthroughs from materials, processes to equipment and production models in the field of automotive hot forming through continuous technological innovation and integration, promoting the upgrade and development of the automotive manufacturing industry. In the future, Pressler will continue to invest in the research and development of new hot forming technologies, new materials and new processes, contributing to cost reduction, efficiency improvement, low-carbon environmental protection and sustainable development for customers.
