There are three main types of heating furnace equipment on the market: roller hearth heating furnace, box heating furnace, and walking beam furnace.
Roller hearth heating furnace is suitable for continuous production of large batches and small varieties. The workpieces are heated evenly, without damage, and with small deformation, but it has high cost, large floor space, and high comprehensive energy consumption;
Box furnace is suitable for small batch and multi-variety production. It has low cost, small floor space, and low comprehensive energy consumption, but it has the problem of low production capacity.
Walking beam furnace is suitable for the production of heavier workpieces, especially indirect hot forming, because indirect hot forming requires the use of trays to carry workpieces to circulate in the furnace. Compared with roller hearth furnaces, walking beam furnaces have higher cost, frequent maintenance, and higher comprehensive energy consumption.
